Flat Broke Newbie Get’s Out of Debt and Becomes His Own Boss!

July 7th, 2009 Karl Foxley 1 comment

I like a good story! Especially when it is about a life-changing experience.

What I like even more about the story I’m going to share with you today, is the fact that this guy changed his life using the power of the Internet!

Introducing Dean Holland

8 month’s ago Dean had nothing. I’m talking a flat broke guy that had got himself into a financially ruined mess!

In fact trying to figure out how to build a successful online business he racked up a serious $59,000 on credit cards and loans! Like I say that was about 8 month’s ago and, well, today things have changed in a BIG way!

You see what you must know is I have closely followed this guys journey and I have seen him come from having no website, no email list and painfully no income! However in just the last few month’s he has made nearly $20,000 online. He now has an email list that grows every single day.

Get this, just last week I witnessed this guy make $11,000 in just 1 weekend sending just a few emails to his subscribers! But the BIG ONE... he just quit his job to be his own boss!

What does this prove ? Why have I told you this? Quite simply because if a guy that bad in debt, starting online with nothing can crack the system then SO CAN YOU! All it takes is to be shown the EXACT way to build a business online and the precise tactics to use to make a stack of cash with it.

We ALL have to be taught at some stage before we can actually succeed!

What makes Dean different to a lot of the guys making a decent income from the Internet is that he is NOW! He didn’t make his wealth 10 years ago flipping websites, he didn’t do it 5 years ago with Adsense, he didn’t even do it 1 year ago with Social Media, he did it yesterday and he is doing it today! He is doing the things that work right NOW!

Dean has decided to reveal how he got out of debt, gave up his day job and now works from home as his own boss!

His course is suitably titled, Starting With Marketing and you can find out more information by heading over to the site and take a look at Dean has to say for himself and how the training can help you do exactly what he has done; if he can do it so can you!

Here’s the link: Starting With Marketing.

How To Discover Where To Concentrate Your Online Marketing Efforts By Comparing Popular Websites

April 20th, 2009 Karl Foxley 1 comment

In today’s post I want to share with you my quick way of discovering where to concentrate my advertising efforts. About a year ago everyone seemed to be talking about Twitter, Plurk, Jaiku etc and the question is, where do you as a marketer spend your time building your community?

It is foolish to even consider having the time to build communities at every popular site and then maintain them all every single day; you’d be spreading yourself very thin indeed.

What you want to do is compare the popular sites and see which ones are of most value by the amount of traffic they get. Before we go on I must stress that this is only one way of gaining information, you need to test test test.

Below you will see that I have gone to www.Alexa.com and in the boxes provided, typed in three websites that are of interest to me.

For this example I’ve compared Plurk.com, Jaiku.com and Twitter.com. Just looking at the graph you can see that 1 Twitter has a massive reach, more internet users are on Twitter than the other similar micro-blogging communities, and 2 Jaiku and Plurk are virtually level pegging.

This information would suggest that Twitter is easily the better place to concentrate your time and marketing efforts. Like I stated above, a website may be more popular but not have the sort of community that fits a ‘marketers’ needs so you will have to test and test again before you know which site is the better one for your needs.

With any site I would like to stress that you should be looking to build a community, a network, reciprocal relationships and NOT just aiming to sell your product as your success rate will be NIL!

You can use this method to compare forums to see how popular they are and blogging networks, well, you can compare any site you wish.

Dave Guindon has a very neat video series where he teaches you how to create your very own Twitter background for personal branding (you can promote your websites and affiliate promotions this way) and he shows you exactly how he finds the best people to follow and how to gain a wealth of followers. You can see my personal Twitter page at www.twitter.com/karlfoxley and you can see Dave’s at www.twitter.com/daveguindon.  To check out his video series then head-on-over to Daves Online Videos.

Affiliate Marketing: Finding The Best Products To Concentrate Your Affiliate Advertising Efforts

April 17th, 2009 Karl Foxley 2 comments

I’ve covered how to find popular niche markets in two previous posts that you can read here and here. Today I want to tell you about my favourite niche markets that I like to concentrate a lot of my promotional efforts in.

My favourite niche market is: any market that has products with recurring billing.

That’s right! I don’t like to have my efforts wasted to a single event in time. Look at it this way, I send out an email for a $97 product to one of my lists. I make 50 sales at 50 percent commission per sale, that is a total of $2,350 pure profits. Not too shabby for a few minutes work. But guess what, I now have to do it again and again to keep that money coming in month after month. If you are like me you will be thinking about growing your business and freeing up as much time as possible to concentrate on doing just that.

This is where products with recurring billing come into play. You see, I can promote a product that the customer pays for every single month and, just for being the affiliate who referred them, I get a cut of that monthly income. Now, imagine sending out the same email as above and earning $2,350 every single month without sending another email. Not bad huh!

My favourite products to target are hosting and email service providers. I regularly promote

HostMonster and Aweber. They aren’t the biggest payers unless you purchase reseller or private label packages. Start as a normal affiliate and as you progress in referrals consider the alternative affiliate packages.

You can also find good recurring billing products on ClickBank and PayDotCom. Below are a list of the programs I get the most out of promoting.

Opportunity.com

HostMonster

Aweber

A simple and quick way to promote a hosting account is by simply adding an affiliate link in the footer of your website that looks like this: ‘KarlMFoxley is Hosted by HostMonster.’ You’ll be surprised how many clicks that actually gets per month. Take a look in the footer of this site to see how it looks.

Hopefully I have given you a few ideas to play around with.

To your success,

Karl

P.s. I must stress that I only recommend products that I use or have used and liked. You are responsible for your customers satisfaction. If you send people to a crap product they will not listen to anything you have to say in the future. Your affiliate marketing depends on your honesty and integrity. Article Marketing for Traffic Generation: 5 Sites That Will Send You Constant Steams Of Targeted Traffic

March 3rd, 2009 Karl Foxley 4 comments

Article marketing is a surprisingly overlooked method of traffic generation. Article marketing is especially beneficial for those that are comfortable with writing short articles ranging from 300 – 600 hundred words, much like a decent sized blog post. If you are a blogger then the following is a no-brainer in your marketing efforts.

Article marketing using article directories has the benefit of not only driving targeted traffic to your website but it also establishes you as an expert in your niche. Another cool benefit is that you will get direct links to your website and this can increase your page-rank. Here are my top five places to add my articles:

1. EzineArticles

2. GoArticles

3. Hubpages

4. Squidoo

5. Helium

To be successful at marketing using these article submission sites it is better not to add affiliate links (except Squidoo and with caution with Hubpages) directly into your post but rather have your direct website link in your ‘resource box’.

My resource box at EzineArticles simply reads:

Karl Foxley is a successful online marketer and small business coach. Karl shares online marketing tips and work from home strategies at http://www.karlmfoxley.com.

You can probably come up with something better than that but I hope it gives you a clear indication of a good-enough resource box.

If you take the time to sit down and write at least one article per week for a whole year to each site  above you will end up with (52 x 5 =) 260 articles with links pointing back to your website.

Lastly, why do I claim this traffic is targeted? Simply, the visitor who clicks-through to your website from your resource box was compelled to do so by what was written there, so make sure your site matches what your resource box says! ;)

Good luck. Don’t delay, get writing today!

Karl
